Arrowhead offers several on-line course opportunities for students. Many of our teachers have a blended on line instructional environment through our course management system, Moodle.
Moodle is an open source course management system. Students may retrieve and upload assignments, review for tests, communicate with their instructors, discuss topics, and create original material through Moodle.
Canvas is a new learning management system currently being piloted by Arrowhead staff.
Achieve 3000 is web-based and individualized instruction for reading comprehension. It also is used to improve writing proficiency, vocabulary development, and standardized testing scores. Teachers can use the results to help with individualized classroom instruction based on a student's reading or "lexile" scores.
APEX on line instruction is used for credit recovery. APEX credit recovery allows credit deficient students to complete courses in which they have otherwise been unsuccessful. Students must receive approval from their guidance counselors before taking an APEX credit recovery courses.
Quia is option for online learning used by Arrowhead World Languages teachers.
