'Tis the Season for Giving
The Giving Tree
November 23 - December 11
What is the Giving Tree? The Giving Tree is a service project sponsored by the AHS Student Senate with the purpose of providing underpriviledged families with presents for the holidays.
Who benefits? Children in Waukesha County. Arrowhead high school is sponsoring 7 families with a total of 16 children. The families are contacted through the Christmas Clearinghouse of Waukesha.
Who participates? Arrowhead High School students, parents and community members are all encouraged to participate in this great service.
When? November 23 - December 11, 2009
Where? At South Campus the Giving Tree is located in the library and at North Campus it is located near the front office.
I want to participate! What do I need to do?
Here’s how you can help these families have a Merry Christmas:
1. Take an ornament off the tree. On each ornament is a gift idea and the gender and age of the child.
2. Purchase the gift.
3. Return the gift unwrapped by Friday, December 11. Attach the ornament tag and gift receipt to the unwrapped gift. Then place the unwrapped gift and attached tag under the Giving Tree from where you originally took the ornament.
4. Gifts will be wrapped and delivered to the families by Senate members the week of December 14.
(Monetary Donations are also accepted. Monetary donations will go toward purchasing presents for the families and/or providing the family with food baskets for the holidays. Put any monetary donations in an envelope marked "Giving Tree" and drop off in the main office at either North or South Campus. Make all checks payable to "AHS.")
