On behalf of the Arrowhead High School athletic program I want to thank you for your past participation in the David Balmer Arrowhead Golf Outing. Your support of the Arrowhead Golf Outing allowed our Athletic Department purchase equipment to support our ever-growing athletic programs. As you know, 100% of the funds raised are dedicated to purchasing this equipment and supporting the David Balmer Scholarship Fund. This past year funds were used to help purchase the girls golf shirts, supported the Alpine Ski teams’ entry fees, Bought girls lacrosse goalie equipment, baseball storage bins, gymnastics stereo system, mat for track for football, tennis machine repair, tennis rol-dries, posts and straps, football t-hooks, helmet pumps and needles, volleyball nets, scoreboard battery packs, portable “A” barriers, girls cross country tarp and a football equipment case. As you can see, your support has made an impact on our athletes programs.
On August 5, 2011 the Arrowhead Activities Department will be hosting the 24th Annual David Balmer Arrowhead Golf Outing at Ironwood Golf Course in Lisbon. Your are cordially invited to join us again to have a wonderful day of golf and help generate funds to support the Arrowhead High School Athletic Programs.
It is our goal to continue to make this event bigger and better event each year. This year’s golf gift to you will be an Arrowhead TBA. You are now able to pre-order the wrist band and raffle tickets on the registration form but don’t forget to bring extra spending money as there will be two new hole events not included in the wrist band besides the ever popular “mulligans”. On one of the Par III holes, you will be able to try to win AHS stainless mugs and TBA. We also have been working hard on providing great auction and raffle items.
Projects we hope to support with this year’s funds include a set of bleachers in the north end zone of the east gym, softball scoreboards, a new soccer ticket booth and score board, track high jump and pole vault improvements, gymnastics floor updates and mats, and extras for the Stadium of Dreams project.
