Athletic Scholarships

 

David P. Balmer Scholarship
 

In 1961, David P. Balmer began his teaching and football coaching career at Arrowhead High School. Ultimately, he became the Athletic Director until he retired in 1990. Following his death in 1994, The David P. Balmer Athletic Scholarship has been awarded in his memory.

This year the Arrowhead Booster Club will award up to four scholarships in the amount of $750 to graduating seniors who:

·        Have received a varsity athletic letter at Arrowhead
·        Have attributes of sound character and strong leadership skills
·        Epitomize team play and reflect good sportsmanship
·        Have the respect of coaches, teachers, peers and the community
·        Have exhibited good academic scholarship
·        Have made a commitment to pursue higher education
 
 
To donate to this scholarship, checks can be made payable to the Arrowhead Booster Club and mailed to the Arrowhead Booster Club, PO Box 262 , Hartland, WI 53029. All donations are tax deductible.
 
Applications are available in March at the North Campus Guidance Office.  Check the Arrowhead website under "Guidance" for more information on the application date for this scholarship.

 

Geoff Steinbach Scholarship  

The Arrowhead Activities Office, coaches and advisors have decided to honor Geoff Steinbach’s retirement from the Arrowhead Union High School District by creating a perpetual scholarship in his name. This is a sustaining scholarship fund given in honor of Geoff Steinbach, as the Activities Director at the Arrowhead Union High School District from 1994 to 2008. The scholarship fund will be monitored and presented through the Arrowhead Scholarship Fund.
 
The annual recipient of the scholarship will exemplify quality student leadership characteristics, academics (a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher), be a multi-sport athlete of 2 or more sports, and involvement in community service at Arrowhead High School. The recipient cannot have had an athletic code violation at Arrowhead High School. This will be another way to continue to acknowledge future generations for their accomplishments.
