Arrowhead high school is home to one of the largest Track and Field programs in the area. We pride ourselves on getting as many students as possible involved with the sport. Track is one of the sports at Arrowhead that does not make cuts. Perspective athletes need only sign up ahead of time at the pre-season meeting in February with the start of the season in early March. Practices are held Monday through Friday and usually last from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Each week there is generally a meet for Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshmen athletes. Most meets are local with a few exceptions for the Varsity team.
The head coach is Chris Herriot, who is assisted by six assistant coaches. We have two distance coaches Mike Ray and Mike Mulrooney. Coach Mulrooney was recently named to the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Hall of Fame. Our hurdles coach is Neil Smedema who has had extensive experience coaching in the Classic Eight conference. Mike Seifert a former Arrowhead High School grad is an NCAA national champion in the 35 lb weight throw and works with our shot and discus athletes. We are currently finalizing this year's pole vault and jumps coaches.
