Just a reminder that the Indoor Field Hockey Season begins next Sunday, (Jan. 11) from 2:30 to 4 p-.m. in the afternoon. A copy of the brochure is attached. For more information call Susan Carlson at (262) 628-9081.

LAKE COUNTRY FIELD HOCKEY

Winter Indoor Camp 2009

Held at North Lake School, Hwy 83 and VV

Sundays, Jan 11, 18, 25, Feb 1, 8, 15, 22, Mar 1, 8, 15 Tournament

All girls are welcome, from beginners to experienced

Grades 3-8 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM

Grades 9-12 from 2:30 - 4:00 PM

PHILOSOPHY

BUILDING FIELD HOCKEY BY TEACHING

THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE GAME TO THE

LOWER SCHOOL PLAYERS WHILE DEVELOPING

THEIR SKILLS AND HELPING HIGH SCHOOL

PLAYERS LEARN AND PERFECT SKILLS THAT

ARE HIGHLY EFFECTIVE AT THE HIGH SCHOOL

AND COLLEGIATE LEVELS. SKILLS, TEAM WORK

AND DEFENSIVE MOVES WILL BE EMPHASIZED.

COACHING STAFF

Susan Carlson has been coaching field hockey for over thirty years in theLake Country Area. She coached winning Varsity, JV and middle school teams at The University Lake School as well as Arrowhead High School, a program she started in 1984. She was the Varsity I coach at Arrowhead High School for five years.

 

Mrs Carlson also has established the Lake Country Club Team for girls in the local grade schools in hopes of promoting field hockey and encouraging girls to prepare for high school play and beyond.

Christine Borkenhagen, Arrowhead’s Junior Varsity II coach, is a former player at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University Lake School.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Mouthguard, Shinguards, Gym shoes, (and an old

sock to cover the head of the hockey stick)

Waiver/Release: I hereby authorize the coaches of Lake Country Field Hockey, LLC to act for me according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention,and I hereby waive and release them and North Lake School from any and all liability for injuries and illness while in attendance. I will be responsible for any medical and other charges in connection with my daughter’s attendance. Lake Country Field Hockey, LLC has a secondary medical insurance policy which covers each participant and can only be filed after the primary insurance claim has been filed.
