Lake Country Field Hockey offers year round opportunities for girls 3rd through 12th grades who want to learn the game and perfect their skills, and have fun while doing it. There are camps, both indoor and outdoor, for 3rd through 12th graders, a Spring League for 8th through 12th graders and the Lake Country Field Hockey Club fall team for 3rd through 8th graders. The Club team is in its 7th year and has enjoyed steady growth as more and more girls hear about field hockey and are eager to join.
Spring League is just for fun. We put you on teams, hire refs and you organize yourselves and play to your heart's content. (The refs and coaches in attendance do monitor the skills so no one is practicing bad habits.) This is a fun way of working on skills and making friends from other schools. Special help is gladly given if a player wants to improve or is concerned about her game. Tom Carter- USM, Morgan Oldenburg-USM, Kathy Coakley-DSHA and Susan Carlson will always be there and other coaches will be attending when they are able. All 8th through 12th grade players are welcome.
