German Club

The German Club is a great opportunity for German students to participate in activities that incorporate the language and culture of Germany.  These activities are a lot of fun and help the student become immersed in the language and ideas taught at school.  All students in a German language course are welcome to attend.

A few of the activities German Club is involved with include:

German Immersion Day:  German Immersion Day is a fun day of food and games.  Students in German National Honor Society help run the games such as Jeopardy, Assassin, Musical Chairs, and Scavenger Hunts.  Food is prepared by the students and great awards are given out at the end.

Folk Fair:  The German Club goes to a Folk Fair each year at the West Allis Fairgrounds.  This is a treat for anyone interested in world cultures.  Dozens of countries are represented, showing off many different aspects of their culture including dancing, drama, and food.

German Scavenger Hunt:  The German Club goes on a scavenger hunt each year.  Small groups of students are given a list of common household items to ask for at local homes.  The twist is all requests must be in spoken in German!

Dinner at a German Restaurant:  Students are given a taste of authentic German food when the Club attends dinner at a local restaurant.

Movie Night:  Students can experience a German language film along with a few snacks as well at this fun night.
