Arrowhead Union High School District

The Arrowhead Girls Golf program currently operates at three levels: Varsity, Varsity Reserve and a combined Freshmen/Junior Varsity Team.  Varsity Reserve usually has 5-7 members. Varsity players form the combined Freshmen/Junior Varsity team.  We combine the Freshmen with the Junior Varsity since most schools do not have a Freshman team.

The Arrowhead girls use the following courses:  Nagawaukee, Chenequa, Ironwood, and Songbird Hill golf courses.  For most home competitions we use either Chenequa (Varsity and Varsity Reserve) or Ironwood (Varsity Reserve-JV).  We have tryouts to determine which level the players participate at.  We DO NOT cut anyone.

We participate in the Classic 8 conference as well as numerous tournaments and invitationals.  We expect players to attend and participate in all practices and events.  Most tournaments are held on Saturdays.  Student athletes (Varsity) will miss some school due to conference, regional, sectional, and state competitions.

Our season begins the second Monday of August with our first meet that Friday.  We finish about one-third of our season before school starts.  Our conference season ends the last week of September followed by the state tournament the first two weeks of October.

Our student athletes are expected to obey the rules of golf, demonstrate proper golf etiquette, and follow the guidelines of the Arrowhead School District.

There will be an organizational meeting in mid-May to go over details for the summer and upcoming fall season.  There will be a pre-season meeting the first week of August at North Campus.  Notice of time, date and location will be published well in advance of that meeting.  For further information contact the Arrowhead Activities Office at 262-369-3612 Ext 4202.
