North Jazz Band
North Jazz is a curricular course available to all sophmores, juniors, and seniors who complete a successful audition for the ensemble. This ensemble meets every day at 10th period and performs at concerts, festivals, and community events when invitied. The Hot Chili Cool Jazz Concert features the AHS North Jazz Band.
North Jazz Instrumentation (spots available until filled):
2 alto saxophones 4 trumpets 1 guitar
2 tenor saxophones 4 trombones 1-2 piano
1 baritone saxophone 1-2 bass guitar/upright 1-2 drumset/auxillary
South Jazz Band
South Jazz is an extra-curricular ensemble that is open to all who want to participate. South Jazz band begins at the end of October and meets once a week after school. This group performs in the Hot Chili Cool Jazz Concert and other festivals and community concerts when invited.
