The Arrowhead newspaper is a monthly publication written by students. It is published on the last Friday of each month during the school year. There are additional web editions updated bimonthly.
Any student interested in writing for the paper may submit articles to Mr. Watry, the newspaper advisor, by simply e-mailing him at watry@ahs.k12.wi.us. Even though there is a journalism class, any student can submit articles. If students are interested in writing for the paper and not in the journalism class, they should contact Mr. Watry at the above e-mail. He will contact you and get you assigned stories and deadlines.
Being on the staff will help students learn to write better, meet deadlines and creatively layout and design a publication. Many former staff members have graduated to paid newspaper reporters and editors at college.
