Arrowhead Union High School District

The state passed legislation that requires (beginning with the class of 2017) high school students to pass a civics test identical to the naturalization test in order to graduate from high school.  The state of Wisconsin requires that students pass the assessment by correctly answering at least 60 questions out of 100.  The test is multiple choice and students will know upon completion if they have passed.  Arrowhead High School administered the test to all Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors during the 2015-2016 school year. Almost all students passed the test on the first attempt, those who did not have been notified and students can retake the assessment as many times as needed in order to pass - per state statute.

Beginning in the 2016-2017 school year, students' Freshman Social Studies courses will prepare students for the test and administer it. Those who do not pass will be notified and given opportunities to pass the test until they do.
