French Club

French Club activities are scheduled periodically throughout the year and are open to any student in any French class.  Watch and listen for upcoming activities in your French class.

Upcoming Activities:

Host a French Student in May 2013

Lake Country School will be hosting its annual exchange with Le Causou School in Toulouse, France from May 5 to May 18, 2013.  Host families are needed for middle school students (there are usually more boys than girls in the group).  This would be a wonderful opportunity to meet people from France, learn more about French culture and practice your French conversational skills.

The students have a very full itinerary while they are here (see document below) so there isn't a lot required of host families.

If you would like to host, please print out and complete the host family application below and return to Mademoiselle Armour by December 21, 2012.  If you have any questions, please contact Mademoiselle or Louisa Self kevself@aol.com

French Honor Society

Students who have a 3.5 gradepoint in their French classes and a 3.0 overall gradepoint will be invited to join French Honor Society after completing the first semester of French III.  To be eligible for membership, students must also have participated in 3 French Club activities during their AHS career.  Honor Society members are expected to continue their study of French through their senior year and to remain active participants in French Club activities.
