Lorraine Lorenzen
The leading scorer in AHS girls basketball history, Lorraine Lorenzen is the only player to ever score 40 or more points twice in her career. And she scored 30 or more points in 14 different games. She accomplished those numbers without the 3-point arc being in effect.
As a 5-10 guard, Lorraine averaged 25.6 points per game as a junior and 27.4 points per game as a senior, scoring 20 or more points in 18 consecutive games. And as a senior, she shot 58% from the field.
Lorraine played varsity basketball for Arrowhead for four years and was named First-Team All-Conference all four years. She was named the team’s MVP as a sophomore, junior and senior. In her final year, Lorraine led the Warhawks to their first WIAA Sectional appearance, and she was named Third-Team All-State.
Often acknowledged as the best shooter in Arrowhead girls basketball history, Lorraine was awarded a full-ride scholarship to play at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
In 2010, the Lake Country Reporter named Lorraine one of the six all-time best girls basketball players in the Lake Country area.
