Student Assistance Program (SAP)
Student Assistance Program (SAP) is designed to assist Arrowhead High School in identifying issues including alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and mental health issues which pose a barrier to student's success. The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program (SAP) is to help students overcome these barriers in order for success.
Student Assistance Program is run with school staff along with a trained liaison from Rosecrance, a alcohol and drug agency. Students are put in groups based on their needs. The goals for the group include sharing ideas and feelings, gaining insight, discover healthy coping mechanisms, and to develop positive decision making skills.
Referral Process - Anyone can refer a student to SAP when they are concerned about someone’s behavior: school staff, family members, community members, and students themselves. To refer, please fill out the SAP form and return it back to Barbara Whyte.
