Courses in the Science Department ask students to investigate and explain the world around them. The focus is on the use of evidence to develop models that can be used to explain the natural and man-made worlds. All science courses include a laboratory component for gathering data in order to build or verify the most important concepts within each discipline.
Science Department Course and Advising Information
Science Standards: The Wisconsin Standards for Science delineate "what content, practices, and ways of thinking (are) critical for Wisconsin students’ development into scientifically literate citizens ready for college and career success." The learning objectives, instruction, and assessments for each Arrowhead science course are designed locally by teams of teachers in alignment with the Wisconsin Standards for Science.
