The best of the best! That's the most accurate way to describe Charlie Delsman's brilliant four-year golf career for the Warhawks. He came to Arrowhead as the most heralded freshman in program history and lived up to that lofty billing to near perfection. Graduating in 2003, Charlie helped lead the Warhawks to a school record (at the time) four consecutive WIAA State Tournament appearances and winning the school's first State Golf Championship in 2001. That same year, he tied for the individual State Title and lost in a six-hole playoff. It's the longest playoff in state history.
Charlie also holds the lowest 9-hole score in Classic 8 Conference history when he shot a 4-under-par round of 31 at challenging Rainbow Springs. He was named the league's Player of the Year three times and was a First-Team All-Conference player all four years.
State tournament accomplishments:
* First-Team All-State in 2000, 2001 and 2002. He’s the only AHS boys golfer ever to accomplish this feat.
* Won individual medals (top six or better finishes) all four of his years at State.
* Was the low golfer at State for the Warhawks all four years, shooting rounds of 77, 72, 73, 72, 74, 74 and 69.
*Named the state’s Player of the Year twice.
Charlie has played professionally for the last +10 years on the Florida Mini-Tours and has enjoyed success, winning 68 times. He has won numerous state championships in Wisconsin both as an amateur and professional. He also still plays in professional events in Florida and Wisconsin and caddies in Florida at the fabulous Streamsong Complex and at Wisconsin’s Erin Hills. He is married to Deya and has two young girls, Johanna and Aria.
