Vision
Engineering Club will be able to improve the advancement of an engineering mindset; in order to allow students to exceed from other students and to stand out in both the application for college and in a job resume. With this we will be able to improve the community through the use of services based on student designed projects.
Mission
Enhance students to be advanced in engineering by improving their engineering abilities, leadership roles and experience with real world projects while simultaneously being able to help the community with any projects that have the potential of giving students an engineering experience.
Engineering Club Goals
- Prepare Students for Success Beyond High School
Through this club students will be challenged with community projects that will allow students to gain real world job experience. Students will have a role within a project that has objectives and timelines that they will need to follow. In order for the success of the project all students will need to work together.
- Give Students a new opportunity
This club will have a core group of students who will be challenged beyond any other students in the group by learning how to become proficient in every engineering aspect. Students will be tested on their ability within invertor to become certified. This core group will train other engineering students to safely use tools and equipment to be able design and manufacture projects.
- Work with and improve the community
With this club we will be able to work with local companies and community services. The club will provide student’s help to complete tasks. An example would be developing a solution to a project and providing the labor to create the project.
- Raising Funds for the club
The club with be able to provide funds by having local companies or community services provide the materials for the project while the schools would provide the equipment. This club will allow members to become eligible to receive a CTE incentive grant which is up to $1,000 per student. Students are required to obtain an Autodesk Inventor Certification in order to receive the grant money. There is also a possibility to become certified in other parts of the engineering field as well.
