Mission Statement:
Investing in the stock market could be described as an educated gamble. In the
Arrowhead Investment Club Individuals and teams invest capital (Fake money) in
the stock market. The simulation acts as a competition between groups of
students applying investment skills with the goal of profiting off the stock market.
Our goal is to educate and help students through the complicated process of
investing in a enjoyable, yet educating manner. With the goal that someday in the
future the former club members will use what they learned in our Investment
Club, and invest their own money.
Meetings:
- Talk about types of investments
- Do research about the stocks before you start investing
- Show how the website works
- Wall Street Survivor Stock Game, Investopedia (or similar websites)
- Talk about popular current stocks, stocks for possible investment
- Watch Videos about the stock market
- Break into teams
- Each team joins the league on the website
- $10,000 to $100,000
- Watch Investment videos
- Goal is to improve your initial investment the greatest compared to the rest of
the group
- Invest in short term and long term stocks.
- Talk about current business events that might affect investment
- Once a month
- Snacks
- Prize for greatest growth at the end of each semester
