Scott Steinbauer
The Pelé of Hartland, Scott Steinbauer was Arrowhead’s first soccer player to capture All-State honors. And he took that title twice – once in 1984 as a junior and again in 1985 as a senior. Scott also was named All-Conference three years in a row and was Captain and MVP in 1984 and 85. As a senior, he also was named the Salvation Army Player of the Year and he led the Warhawks soccer team to its first State Tournament appearance where they won the Runner-up trophy. That year, the team also was Conference Champions.
Scott brought a new level of soccer to Arrowhead, as he had talent that the school had never seen before. Scott led the team in scoring and is one of the top scorers in school history.
Scott also ran track for AHS in 1983-85, where he was a State medalist in the 800M and 1600M/relay in both 1984 and 1985. His relay team took 3rd in State both years and set a school record. His senior year, he was voted MVP of the track team and helped his team earn the Conference Championship, in both indoor and outdoor seasons.
In addition to soccer and track, Scott also received two varsity letters for wrestling (1983 and 84).
Receiving a full scholarship, Scott played soccer for Marquette where he was named Captain in 1989 and 1990, and Player of the Year in 1990. Scott also received the “Good Sport Award” in 1989 for working at numerous soccer camps, counseling kids on how to play soccer, plus how to balance academics and athletics. He graduated with a BA in marketing/business development.
Post college, Scott played soccer professionally for the Wave and the Rampage, and coached several youth teams. He then decided to fall back on his business degree and is currently working as a field supervisor for Exterior Pros in Menomonee Falls, and as an inventory analyst for Brady Corp.
