Otto Wiesjahn
A member of the first graduating class at Arrowhead (1957), Otto Wiesjahn was a brilliant three-sport athlete, excelling in football, basketball and baseball. He received the American Legion Athletic Award, was captain of the basketball and football teams, was named All-Conference in football, and was crowned All-County in both football and basketball.
Did you know…Otto had 19 unassisted tackles during
the 1957 AHS football season.
First ever…Otto was a member of the first AHS team to go to the State Tournament. In 1957, his basketball and baseball teams won the SEC Championship, plus the baseball team went to State. He was the starting catcher for three years and was the second leading hitter.
After high school, Otto played football for two years at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and was in the US Army for three years. From there, he taught school and coached (football, basketball and cross country) for 31 years in the Waukesha school district. Otto also has been inducted into the Land O Lakes Hall of Fame (2009).
