Scott Robert Doffek
Bringing additional honors to the Doffek family, Scott also captured First-Team All-State as an infielder his senior year (1986) for Arrowhead, plus First-Team All-Conference his senior and junior years. As a senior, Scott batted an impressive .454.
After Arrowhead High School, Scott won the National Junior College Batting Title in 1988 at WCTC, with a .539 BA. In August of 1988, he signed a professional contract with the LA Dodgers Organization. Scott spent the next 5 ½ years in that organization, climbing to the AAA level.
After leaving the LA Dodgers, Scott began coaching at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the fall 1994. He’s the only AHS grad to be named a NCAA Division 1 men’s athletic coach. Today, he’s still the head coach of the only Division 1 baseball program in Wisconsin. He has won the Horizon League Coach of the Year five times and the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 1999 and 2013. He has the highest winning percentage of any Horizon League Team in all games played and Horizon League games only, plus he has coached 34 players that went on to sign professional contracts. In addition, Scott was inducted in 2001 in the Old Time Ball Players of Wisconsin Hall of Fame.
