Jessica Tenge
Athlete-Girls Soccer
When Jessica Tenge transferred from Waukesha South to Arrowhead after her sophomore season, the Arrowhead girls soccer program not only got instantly better, but the Warhawks added one of the best players in Waukesha County and one of the best and most gifted players in school history.
How good was Jessica? She was outstanding. Her combination of speed, ball-handling, passing, physical toughness, knowledge of the game and scoring turned her into a two-time (1993 and 1994) first-team All-Conference player and a two-time (1993 and 1994) first-team All-State player. She became just the second girls soccer player to be named to the All-State team twice.
Topping off her senior year, Jessica and her Arrowhead teammates also advanced to the prestigious WIAA Division 1 State tournament in 1994. The Warhawks won in the first round before losing a close game in the State semi-finals.
After graduating, Jessica took her soccer skills to Butler University in Indianapolis where she had an outstanding NCAA Division 1 career. As a freshman, she made the All-Conference freshman team and then closed out her collegiate career by being named to the All-Conference first team her junior and senior years. When she graduated from Butler in 1998, Jessica ranked in the top four in three different statistical categories and still ranks in the top seven in those lists today. Post college, Jessica continued playing soccer professionally for two years for the Indianapolis Blaze.
At Arrowhead, Jessica also was the starting point guard on the Arrowhead girls basketball team in 1993 and 1994.
Jessica lives in Oconomowoc with her husband Richard and her five children, Tanner, Brylie, Easton, Caiven and Kenley. She's a psychologist in Brookfield.
