Application for Yearbook
Starting with the 2023-2024 school year, an application is required to be in Yearbook class. Please click here to print or make a copy of the application. Application is due when you register for courses in February. Make sure to share it with Mrs. Danay digitally or place it in her mailbox at North or South campus prior to the end of Skyward registration.

Class Information - Sign up for Yearbook and Learn so many Skills that relate to all areas!
Students apply and select yearbook as a year-long elective course at AHS and it is advised by Ms. Jana Danay, Business & Marketing Education Teacher. Yearbook students will gain skills in teamwork, project management, page design, advanced publishing techniques, copywriting, editing, and photography while producing a creative and innovative yearbook which records school memories and events. Students are required to attend events to take photos and document the school year and to work outside of the school day on the yearbook.
There is an emphasis on journalism skills in this class. Participants gain useful, real world skills in leadership, time management, marketing, teamwork, problem solving, communication, and design principles. Students will be given challenging real world projects and assignments typical of the graphic design and publishing industries.
High quality work is expected and work outside of the school day is common to attend events to photograph and interview. Yearbook does not qualify as an English or Fine Arts credit for graduation or college admission, but qualifies as a general elective.
Beginning in the Spring of 2020, the Yearbook will be distributed before the school year is over in late May. A supplement will be provided with the Spring Sports and Activities and will be distributed over summer.
Old Yearbooks
We do not have copies of older books. When I took over yearbook a few extras were given to me, mainly from the early 2000's; so feel free to reach out about a certain year, but more than likely we only have a few of them or none.
