Arrowhead's Boys and Girls Alpine Race Teams compete against other Wisconsin high schools in races held in January & February. Races are held at local ski resorts including Alpine Valley, Holy Hill, Little Switzerland and Sunburst. Races are held on Wednesday and Thursday; start time is 6:00 pm. Each race consists of two timed runs of either Slalom or Giant Slalom.
Experienced coaching is provided and includes dryland training, general skiing skills, race instruction, gate training, and skill specific instruction.
Practice is held at Holy Hill on Monday (mandatory) and on Sunday (optional). Alpine ski racing is a no-cut sport.
The Alpine Ski Racing Team operates under our school mantra. We expect our athletes and parents to demonstrate the Arrowhead Way.
The Arrowhead Way
