Sports

Our season starts at the beginning of March with games played through the end of May. The state championship is typically held in early June. Practices are held Mon-Fri after school/in the evenings depending on coach availability, and games are played on weekdays with a few weekend commitments. Pre-season practices are held during Sept/Oct and again in Jan-March leading up to the season. These practices are open to new players looking to try the sport (equipment provided) through returning players looking to excel at the varsity level.

The season begins on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Arrowhead Varsity has won 11 State Championships (2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2023), 14 Conference Championships, and the program was awarded the Journal Sentinel’s Top Team: Fan Vote Award in 2019.

Mission Statement

To empower young women through the sport of lacrosse. Our program seeks to teach and reinforce the values of wholesome competition, great sportsmanship, and fair play as well as to support development in leadership/confidence, collaboration/community, and persistence through adversity. Our coaches are all trained through the Positive Coaching Alliance and held to a high degree of accountability and sportsmanship to uphold our program and school values. All players, parents, and fans are expected to adhere to the same level of accountability in how they treat all AHS constituents, opposing teams (players, parents, fans), and officials. Our overall goal is to create a team-first environment and experience our players can benefit from for the rest of their lives.
