Alternative Education is a half-day program for students who have been selected to participate to earn a second chance at graduating on time with their peers. Students are expected to be employed 10-15 hours a week and will work towards earning their Employability Skills Certificate from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Course content will be delivered by direct instruction, hands on activities, guest speakers, field trips and group projects. The purpose of Alternative Education is to provide a supportive environment, where students can feel comfortable coming for academic and emotional support, allowing for successful attainment of their high school diploma.
