Arrowhead Union High School Website Accessibility Statement
Arrowhead Union High School is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive online experience that allows everyone to access the information and resources they need to participate fully in our school community.
Our Commitment to Accessibility:
We believe that every student, parent, staff member, and community member should have equal access to the information available on our website. To achieve this, we are actively working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, an internationally recognized set of guidelines for improving web accessibility.
Current Accessibility Features:
While we are continuously working to improve, our current website includes some accessibility features to assist users. These may include (but are not limited to):
- text resizing,
- background color adjustments,
- link options,
- and responsive design.

Looking Ahead: Our Redesign for Enhanced Accessibility:
We are excited to announce that Arrowhead Union High School is embarking on a comprehensive website redesign project. A key focus of this redesign is to significantly improve the accessibility of our site. We are dedicated to building a new website from the ground up with accessibility principles integrated into every stage of development. This will include:
- Improved Navigation: Intuitive and consistent navigation to help users easily find information.
- Enhanced Readability: Clearer fonts, appropriate color contrast, and adaptable text sizing.
- Accessible Media: Transcripts for audio, captions for video, and descriptive text for images.
- Keyboard Navigability: Full functionality accessible via keyboard for those who cannot use a mouse.
- Screen Reader Compatibility: Content structured and coded to be easily interpreted by screen readers.
We anticipate that the new website will represent a substantial leap forward in our commitment to digital inclusivity.
