Robert Iglinski
Fastest of the fast, Robert Iglinski lettered in swimming at Arrowhead High School from 1990 to 1994, and served as the team captain his sophomore, junior and senior years. In addition, Robert was the:
- 1992 200 IM State Champion
- 1993 100 Breast and 200 IM State Champion
- 1994 200 IM, 200 Free Relay and 400-Relay State Champion
- 1994 The Waukesha Journal’s male prep athlete of the week
- 1994 The Milwaukee Sentinel’s high school athlete of the month for January
While in high school, Robert also was the 1992 Junior National Champion in the 400 IM, competing in Paris, France and the 1993 Olympic Festival Champion in the 400 IM.
Robert received a full-ride scholarship to the University of Indiana where he was an Athletic and Academic All-American all four years (1994-1998). At Indiana, he was the team captain from 1997-98 and MVP in 1998. In 1996, he was an Olympic Trials Finalist in the 400 IM. He officially retired from competitive swimming in 1998, but occasionally swims for fitness and in fun competitions.
After graduating from IU in 1998, Robert began working for Toyota Motor Sales, USA. Currently working in sales & marketing, Robert has been with the Scion Division for about one year. He and his wife Holly have two children.
