Athlete - Football/Boys Track
Aaron Niay had an off-the-charts senior year at Arrowhead High School. His accomplishments included:
- 1st Team All-State Football AP Poll, Coaches Poll & Journal Sentinel
- 1st Team All-Region, All-Area, All-County & All-Conference Football
- Waukesha County & Waukesha Freeman Football Player of the Year
- Classic Eight Conference Offensive Player of the Year
- Varsity Football Captain
- Varsity Track Captain
- Varsity Track MVP
The 5’10”, 175-pound running back ran for 1,702 yards his senior season on 268 attempts. Aaron also recorded 29 touchdowns.
Aaron’s talents were first noticed as a freshman with the AHS track and football coaches moving him up to Varsity. He was the first freshman to ever start and letter for Coach Tom Taraska (who was in his 24th season of coaching high school football). In track, he set triple jump (41’ 5.5”) and long jump (20’ 4”) records as a freshman and sophomore. In total, Aaron received nine Varsity letters at Arrowhead, lettering four years in both football and track and one year in basketball.
Aaron also excelled academically, earning High Honor Roll status all eight semesters, National Honor Society, Who’s Who at Arrowhead and the Principal’s Advisory Group.
After high school, Aaron walked on as a tailback for the Wisconsin Badgers Football Team. He graduated from Madison with a Bachelor’s of Science – Mechanical Engineering Degree.
Currently, Aaron is a business partner in SkyTee Golf, LLC, and he and his wife Amber just welcomed their first child Stella Rae this past June. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys a good game of golf and finding new food spots with Amber.
