 Español 2 - Syllabus 2023/2024   Srta. Koepke koepke@arrowheadschools.org The study of a world language is both basic and practical in one’s high school education.  It helps to communicate with people from other lands, affording a better understanding of today’s complex, internationally interdependent world, as well as to reinforce the development of verbal skills in English. Materials Needed: 
	
	Dry Erase Marker and something to use as an eraser (old washcloth, sock, rag, etc.)
	Headphones for listening activities
	Laptop - charged (Bring your cord daily.  You can use the classroom outlets and/or the charging lockers in the library.)
	Folder and/or binder for worksheets, notes, homework
	Workbook (will be provided 2nd week of school) Homework Expectations: Homework should always be attempted and finished.  When homework is not assigned, you are expected to review notes and study vocabulary on your own.  If there is a test, quiz, or oral, your homework is to study. All assigned work/assessments should be made up within 3 days of an absence. 			| Culture - 5%                         Reading - 20% Speaking - 15%                    Writing - 20% Grammar - 20%                   Listening - 20% |  Final Exam counts as 15% of final grade   All Arrowhead Policies & Procedures need to be followed and will be enforced in class.   Chat GPT/AI/Online translators will be considered a form of cheating/plagiarism, unless allowed by the teacher. Attendance and being on time is very important. For this reason, after tardies #1 and #2, there will be a conference with the student. After tardy #3, the parents will be notified and after tardy #4, the student will receive an office referral.
