Jim Secretarski
It’s hard to pick which sport Jim Secretarski should be inducted for…during his high school years, “Jimmy” earned the most varsity letters (14) in Arrowhead history, capturing four letters in basketball, four in football, four in baseball and two in track.
Basketball
- All-time leading scorer at AHS
- Mr. Basketball, WIAA Player of the Year
- Journal/Sentinel Player of the Year
- Braveland Conference Player of the Year
- Captain – as a senior and junior
- 4-year All-Conference Team
- Helped his team to be the first team at AHS to win sectionals and make it to State in basketball
Football
- First Team All-State Football (Defense and Special Teams – set the state record for average punt return yardage)
- First Team All-Region
- 2-year All-Conference Team
- Captain
- Helped his team win state – 1994 champions (first State football title for AHS)
Baseball
- Honorable Mention All-State
- 2-year All Conference
Jimmy accomplished all of the above, while maintaining a 3.9 GPA. He went on to play basketball on a Division 1 scholarship to Siena College (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). At Siena, he added the following highlights to his career:
- GTE District 1 All-American
- Captain
- MAAC 3-point record (made 9 of 11 attempts in one game)
- Freshman Scoring Record (36 points in a single game)
- All-Rookie Team (2nd in Rookie of the Year voting)
- MAAC All-Academic
- Team’s leading scorer as a sophomore
- All-Conference
Currently, a director of a mergers and acquisitions & private equity firm in Atlanta, Jimmy is happily married to Erin and they have three children: Jay, Tommy and Annie.
